WRC Day 3 – Cozumel

Posted on February 2, 2025February 2, 2025 by James

One of the great “things” about a cruise, is that when you wake up, you can be in a different country, or port. And today is no different. We woke up in Cozumel, Mexico. We didn’t really have any plans (or excursions) to do today, so after breakfast, we got off the ship and decided… Continue reading

WRC Day 2 – Sea Day

Posted on February 2, 2025February 2, 2025 by James

Today on our cruise, it was sea day. As this was also a working day, Chris and I spent much of the day “keeping the plates spinning” in our collective roles with our business. One of the benefits of traveling in The Retreat, is that you gain access to their lounge, on Reflection it is… Continue reading

Winter Reset Cruise Day 1

Posted on February 2, 2025February 2, 2025 by James

Chris and I decided to do an almost repeat of the cruise we did with Michele in December 2023 as our Winter Reset Cruise this year. We boarded the Celebrity Reflection in Fort Lauderdale for six nights of sailing and to escape the cooler days in Texas.

Posted on November 10, 2019November 10, 2019 by James

As some of you have surmised from some recent social media posts, Chris and I spent last week on the Riviera Maya at the amazing UNICO 20º87º Hotel Riviera Maya. We were there with with our VACAYA family for their inaugural resort experience.

We had one of the best trips we have ever had.

Let’s Just Walk Around and See

Posted on June 19, 2015May 5, 2016 by James

“Let’s just walk around, and see things,” might sound simple enough to most, but when in Washington D.C. this can be a dangerous thing. So we did walk … and walk … and walk. My Fitbit tells me that we covered 14.47 miles this day. But sites we did see. Chris had chosen a great… Continue reading

Road Trip Continues – Nashville to DC

Posted on June 18, 2015May 9, 2018 by James

No visit to Nashville is complete without the obligatory photo at the Grand Ol’ Opry at Opryland (given we were staying at just around the corner at the Courtyard Opryland). Check. Next we once again looked to Yelp to help us find a hidden gem for breakfast, and we were thrilled to find Biscuits and… Continue reading

The Trip to D.C.

Posted on June 18, 2015September 30, 2016 by James

I’m not sure what we were thinking. Packing two exchange students in a car of a road trip to and from Washington D.C. seemed like a good idea at the time, and to be honest – it turned out to be exactly that. Tong and Tommy were troopers, and I’d thought I’d document – in… Continue reading

#lovewillwin

Posted on April 28, 2015January 16, 2019 by James

On Tuesday, the United States Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether my marriage to Chris Moss should be valid in Texas (which it is currently not), and across this great country. Currently, our marriage is recognized in 38 states (plus DC), which means that our relationship has a different legal status depending on which… Continue reading
