DNC Part 2

Posted on July 28, 2004August 21, 2006 by James

What an amazing night of speakers. I'm not sure the GOP will be able to come close to the quality of speakers, along with the passion that the speakers are consistently giving.  It is difficult to pick on favorite speaker from tonight's lineup, but there were some highlights. The senate candidate from Illinois, Barack Obama,… Continue reading

FRC Survey?

Posted on July 27, 2004August 21, 2006 by James

I was overjoyed to receive a copy of the Family Research Council's 2004 Election Survey today. I guess that teaches me to sign up for their email lists and use their website to send e-letters to elected officials.  It's a small price to pay 🙂

Watching the States

Posted on July 27, 2004August 21, 2006 by James

Another site I was looking at today was the Swing State Project.  According the site it is a”project to analyze the key swing states in the 2004 Presidential election.”  Be sure to check out the methodology and map of the key swing states. Worth a look.

Reviewing Blogs

Posted on July 27, 2004August 21, 2006 by James

Today is one of those quiet days … you know the type where it  just d-r-a-g-s on? Anyway to fill my time, I've been looking at blogs online (mainly dealing with the DNC Convention).  Thought I would list a couple here, in case anyone else is interested in these. Posted on July 27, 2004August 21, 2006 by James

All I have to say after watching night one is WOW!  Talk about dynamic, passionate speakers. While I enjoyed the speeches of Al Gore, Senator Clinton and Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, the one speech that hit me the most was that of the Reverend David Alston.  What a amazing speech, and what an… Continue reading

Stupid White Men

Posted on July 24, 2004August 21, 2006 by James

I just finished reading “How to Get Stupid White Men Out of Office” which was a great book, I have to say.  Short bursts of grassroots organizing tips, and success stories (and some that weren't successful).  It also provides an overview of how individuals can make a difference.  The number 537 will still in my head for a while,… Continue reading

The elephant in the room

Posted on July 23, 2004August 21, 2006 by James

Our friends over at Wonkette have bought to the attention the Prez's comments to the National Urban League at a speech yesterday.  Check out the post made.  Too funny!

The Supremes are Awesome

Posted on June 27, 2003June 9, 2022 by James

Today the Supreme Court announced their decision in the Texas Sodomy case, and it was good news for all men and women in the US. In a 6-3 decision, the court overturned the case of two gay men caught having sex while the police were investigating a false report of a burglary. The case got… Continue reading
