Aussie Election Results

Posted on November 24, 2007November 24, 2007 by James

I’ve been watching the Australian election results and commentary for the last 2.5 hours, and at this stage it looks like the ALP will be returning to governement after 11 years. The most interesting part of the election so far is that the current PM (John Howard) is looking like he will not be reelected.

Australian Election

Posted on November 24, 2007November 24, 2007 by James

Today (in Australia) the Australian Federal Election is occurring. At the time of writing this entry, the polls are open for about another 45 minutes. I’ve not paid a great deal of attention to Australian politics since leaving her shores a few years back, and I’m saddened to say that of all years, this was… Continue reading

AG says Bye

Posted on August 27, 2007August 27, 2007 by James

Well I will say that when I checked my BB this AM after waking up and saw that the AG had resigned, I was kind of surprised. I guess that will teach Jon Stewart for taking a break (remember, Rumsfeld resigned while JS was break last time as well). [CNN | MSNBC | BBC]

Well it seems that some of you actually did miss my blogging entries. Of course, this begs the question, por que? Well, over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of movement in the Moss-Nunn household, and yesterday, much of the work that has been keeping my attention elsewhere “went live.” After a… Continue reading

It’s a New Year for Politics

Posted on January 2, 2007January 2, 2007 by James

Well this is the month of politics. This coming Thursday (1/4), the new Congress (110th) convenes with a new Democratic leadership in both the House and the Senate (hands up if you will be tuned to C-SPAN at 12 Noon EST). I think this will be an exciting time for those involved in politics. Many… Continue reading

Opening the Gates to “UN”Bolton Diplomacy

Posted on November 13, 2006November 13, 2006 by James

As the Congress returns this week, it appears that there are two Senate confirmation hearings that will receive a great deal of media attention. First up is Robert Gates’ confirmation as the new Defense Secretary. Most analysts suggest that Gates will be confirmed easily, if not after a few hard questions from the (current) minority… Continue reading
