Comparative Religion, Fall 2004 Christianity is always a subject for interpretation. How does Søren Kierkegaard interpret Christianity in "The Anguish of Being a Christian"? How does his interpretation compare to your own? Or, if you are not a Christian, does his interpretation of Christianity repel or attract you? Explain. You can review how I responded … Continue reading Christianity Essay, Fall 2004

September 30, 2004 The Impossibility of Learning Plato begins the Meno by asking the question, “can virtue be taught?” (59). The question is being asked to Socrates, who responds – in part – “I blame myself for my complete ignorance about virtue” (60). And so begins the dialogue of Socrates, as he works through rational … Continue reading The Impossibility of Learning
Well I've just got back from the State Convention of the Texas Junior College Student Government Association (*gasp*), which was in Houston. CCCCD was there with two reps and our advisor, and we came home as the president school for the region. This is great news for CCCCD, and will keep me focused on regional/state … Continue reading Houston — *cough*
Tonight I received a scholarship award from the CCCCD Foundation. It was very nice to receive, and I was so amazed at how many are given each year (600 at tonight's function). It helps a lot. Need to write a letter about this to some of the organizers and donors.

Chris, Brian and I attended David's graduation on Thursday night - it was awesome! It was outside and lots of purple and green (the college's colors) … Continue reading Grades and Graduation Bang
Today had my Yoga final. It was pretty good, and I'm going to miss the occassional class that I took. I've one more final to go and then it's over until summer two. I was meant to go listen to Dr. Robert Gates speak at the college today, but he was called to Austin to … Continue reading Yoga Final and Gates speak
The rain started yesterday. Not sure if this groundhog thing actually is real or not, but he saw his shadow - which is meant to mean that we will have six more weeks of winter. Coincidence? Not sure. Enough people believe it, so maybe there is an element of truth in it. Classes are going … Continue reading Rainy Days on Thursday
WOW! After what seemed like three hours, I'm full. We just helped celebrate a birthday with a friend of ours and the venue was a Japanese Hibachi bar. The "show" was awesome, and the food unbelievably good 🙂 The Advocate has a very cute boy on the front of the February 4 edition, and he's … Continue reading Hibachi – College – HOA
