This story from NPR’s All Things Considered discusses the conservative black clergy getting all excited from the pulpitt. Also during ATC, there was this story about Judas Iscariot’s gospel that has recently been translated.

An Honorable Mention

Posted on April 4, 2006April 30, 2021 by James

At the 2006 TJCSGA State Conference, the General Assembly awarded me with a huge honor, an honorary lifetime membership to the organization. The TJCSGA Constitution states that an “honorary membership may be granted to individuals who have rendered distinguished service to the TJCSGA.” Given the other two recipients, I am extremely humbled by this award.… Continue reading

Bye Bye Tom

Posted on April 4, 2006May 21, 2006 by James

It seems that Mr. Delay may have seen the writing on the wall. I’ve just seen the following headline from the New York Times: “DeLay Is Quitting Race and House, Officials Report”, and reports indicate that Delay has “decided not to try to hold on to his House seat as he faced the possibility of… Continue reading

Quick News Update

Posted on April 2, 2006May 21, 2006 by James

Tired, tired, tired… More to report in another post, especially after a very low blogging week. Made two presentations at the TJCSGA State Conference that is happening in Fort Worth (both went well). A-(anti)F-A Moaning

Posted on March 27, 2006May 21, 2006 by James

I just got an email from Chris outlining the latest moans and groans from the American (anti-)Family Association, and decided to browse around their site to see what other things they have been up to.  I found this page.  This page was presented as “proof” of the type of activities that occurs at the Gay Games (the… Continue reading

New WB Show

Posted on March 26, 2006May 21, 2006 by James

Was just reading about a new show, The Bedford Diaries, premiering on Wednesday evening on the “WB.”  The “controversy” over this show, is the censoring of a scene of two girls kissing (for about a second), and a second scene where a girl is unbuttoning her jeans.  Interestingly, the WB are making the entire show, including… Continue reading
