More Naked Calendars … well almost

Posted on November 2, 2007November 2, 2007 by James

Will it never end? Hopefully not 🙂 The latest “Men of …” style calendar is the “Men of Mortuaries” which features funeral directors and morticians from across the U.S. So far my favorites are Mr. November, Mr. July, and Mr. March (a good month).

Run naked

Posted on October 20, 2007February 24, 2023 by James

Back on October 6, I along with some friends, participated in my first naked run: the Bluebonnet Bare As You Dare 5K. It was a load of fun, and we all had a great time. The weather was ideal – a little cloudy, but warm – and the atmosphere was extremely friendly (but not in… Continue reading

September Update

Posted on September 17, 2007 by James

Thought I should do a quick update before life really starts to get busy! For the last couple of weeks, I’ve started a new running/jogging regime in preparation for a 5K that I am doing on October 6, and last night, I hit the THREE MILES marker (which is just short of 5K). I have… Continue reading

Marina @ Lake Travis, Austin

Posted on September 12, 2007September 12, 2007 by James

Marina @ Lake Travis, Austin Originally uploaded by melbGuy I went on a road trip with Chris today down to Lake Travis in Austin. I’m sitting here in the car park pilfering someone’s wireless internet connection looking at the image you can see here in this post. It’s a beautiful day in Austin. Did I… Continue reading

Being Natural

Posted on September 11, 2007January 27, 2008 by James

I’ve learned a very interesting thing about people recently, they love the taboo issues. I am not really surprised by this revelation, nor shocked by my realization of this well known fact. I think what fascinates me more is the trigger that made me more aware of this little piece of reality. Let’s go back… Continue reading

Project Lanai (Part Deux)

Posted on September 10, 2007September 11, 2007 by James

Thanks to my good friend Layton, the lanai preparation has developed to an almost final stage. I have two things to show for the work that Layton and I did: (1) a semi-circle dirt area in my back yard; and (2) peeling skin. It seems that Layton doesn’t burn when standing around in the sun,… Continue reading

Project Lanai

Posted on August 29, 2007August 29, 2007 by James

Project Lanai After years of talking about a patio extension, I woke up this morning determined that today was going to be the day (besides, I’m procrastinating about other stuff). So after relaxing in the sun this morning, while I did my yoga-like activities, I built up the momentum to get things started. Did I… Continue reading

AG says Bye

Posted on August 27, 2007August 27, 2007 by James

Well I will say that when I checked my BB this AM after waking up and saw that the AG had resigned, I was kind of surprised. I guess that will teach Jon Stewart for taking a break (remember, Rumsfeld resigned while JS was break last time as well). [CNN | MSNBC | BBC]

GL Surveys

Posted on August 23, 2007August 23, 2007 by James

Towleroad reported that Community Marketing, Inc. have released a report detailing the results of an online survey of lesbian and gay adults. CMI reported that, “as an incentive, respondents were offered a chance to win one of four airline vouchers valid for a roundtrip flight in North America.” They conclude by stating that, “this survey… Continue reading
