Crafty Blogs

Posted on January 4, 2008January 4, 2008 by James

After getting bitten by the looming bug, I have now set up a craft blog for sharing ideas, projects, and tips on all things crafty (albeit limited primarily to loom knitting). You can visit this newly updated site at www.out2design.com. While you are checking out craft blogs, be sure to visit Trashy Diva Living for… Continue reading

Wine for the Dogs

Posted on December 26, 2007December 26, 2007 by James

One of the books that I got Chris for Christmas was the Wine Report 2008. It appears to be a higher level kind of wine book that provides a global report on the state of wines around the world. I say it’s a higher level due to the following entry in the book under Reader’s… Continue reading

The most interesting part of the election so far is that the current PM (John Howard) is looking like he will not be reelected.

Australian Election

Today (in Australia) the Australian Federal Election is occurring. At the time of writing this entry, the polls are open for about another 45 minutes. I’ve not paid a great deal of attention to Australian politics since leaving her shores a few years back, and I’m saddened to say that of all years, this was… Continue reading

One of the most frequently asked questions I get at this time of year is (or has been), “how does Australia celebrate Thanksgiving?” The simple answer is that we don’t. As Wikipedia explains, Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is a traditional North American holiday to give thanks for the things that one has at the conclusion… Continue reading
