WRC Day 3 – Cozumel

One of the great “things” about a cruise, is that when you wake up, you can be in a different country, or port. And today is no different. We woke up in Cozumel, Mexico.

We didn’t really have any plans (or excursions) to do today, so after breakfast, we got off the ship and decided to walk through some of Cozumel. Chris and I were here last on December 25, 2023 when we were here with Michele.

We found this boat along the city wall that has been taken over by a variety of artists, who have taken small components of the front facing part of the boat and created art. The water is not deep, and we watched a pelican hunt for food while we we stood there.

We obviously spent enough time walking around for me to get a little burnt around my neck and arms. We headed back to the ship for lunch, and then did some more of that work stuff.

After we finished dinner, and grabbed a drink or two, we headed back to the room to gaze up at the stars on our balcony. It was a clear night, and while I have limited night vision, Chris does not, and he didn’t give up on helping me find some new galaxies or clusters of stars, like this one.

Meet The Pleiades star cluster, also known as The Seven Sisters. This was taken with my Pixel 9 Pro, with a lot of zoom, and on a moving ship, so I was quite happy with the image I captured.
