Mardi Gras 2025

The main reason we decided to make this trek to New Orleans this year, was to experience “living in the Quarter during Mardi Gras.” We have both been to NOLA many times, remember Chris and I actually met there in 1998, but I’ve never been there during Mardi Gras.

Another reason for our NOLA expedition, is that as we consider our future options, spending some time in a city might be a good way to decide if that locale would be a great place for our next home. Last year, Chris and I explored what I called “pregnancies” where we would spend up to nine months in a place and rent a home to decide if that location could work. Too many times we have arrived in a place, and immediately thought “we could live here” only to realize after a few days, that maybe we couldn’t. New Orleans was our first attempt of this, but it would only be for a couple of months, as we had travel plans that we had made last Fall, but it was a good start.

Here is a gallery of some of the snaps from Mardi Gras 2025.
