Report a Litterer

Yesterday as I was driving down the service road of Dallas North Tollway, I’m sitting behind this Lexus and watch the driver casually toss out about 1/3 of a lit cigarette onto the road. I was planning to tap my horn, and signal to the driver to pick this up. Instead, I picked up my trusty BlackBerry, and I reported the car (and the driver) to the Texas Department of Transportation’s Report a Litterer website.

From the website:

TxDOT compares the information to our vehicle registration database and when an exact match is located, we send the litterer a Don’t Mess with Texas litterbag along with a letter reminding them to keep their trash off of our roads.

And I did feel good about it 🙂

I hope you pulled over before making the call on the Blackberry 🙂

Always 🙂 It was a good excuse to stop at Starbucks for a short visit.
