MSM

US News has done an article on blogging and how it affected/influenced politics during the last election. You can read the article at Yahoo. I think it's a little (*cough*) biased, but what I found interesting was not the stuff about fundraising, etc.  It's the adoption of the acronym for the “Mainstream Media” that I found most amusing in the article (adapted by the right blogosphere): MSM.  Now I'm not sure if this term has made it across the pond, er lake, but MSM stands for Men who have Sex with Men in Australia (a grouping that was developed to encompass the non-gay boyz who like sex with men – pretty obvious, huh?). One quote fromt the article takes on a new angle if you change the meaning: “MSM tried to defeat Bush…”

It made me chuckle 😉
