LOTR Musical?

Put this in the category of “HUH?!?!” It appears that Lord of the Rings is to become a musical. According to the BBC Online, “Producers of the stage version of The Lord of the Rings have picked the cast – with British actor James Loye landing the role of Frodo. The show will open in Toronto, Canada, in 2006.”

In keeping with tradition(?) of casting gay men as wizards, Brent Carver (a gay Canadian actor) has been cast as Gandalf the Grey. (ModFab)
