Katrina and Pets

What is wrong with the rescue people helping people in LA, MS, and AL? People who have loved their pets as their own children, rescued them from teh hurricane, the floods and the like are being told they can't take their pets with them when they are being evacuated. What the f*#k is up with that? Yesterday, there was a picture of a puppy that had been left tied to a tree at the New Orleans airport because the owners were not able to take it with them on the bus that was evacuating them. Yes, you have a choice – leave the dog behind and get out of this hell hole of a mess; or stay with the dog and loose your chance of getting rescued. That is totally messed up.

I know that there are loads of funds being given to help the people victims of Katrina, but don't forget out the pets.
