Clarification:
In the article, the Collin Equality Foundation is referenced as the “charitable arm of the Collin County Gay and Lesbian Alliance” which is incorrect. The foundation was established to be the charitable arm of CCGLA, however after CCGLA became a 501(C)(4) organization – an Internal Revenue Service tax status – this was no longer a preferred option for the foundation, and was changed by the trustees on November 16 (the meeting referenced in the article).
