I have the anger

Posted on September 4, 2005March 3, 2019 by James

My friend Ian made a post with a link to a clip of Anderson Cooper (*swoon*) tearing into Senator Mary Landrieu about the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina. One of the most amazing things from this clip, is that I learnt that Senator Landrieu is a DEMOCRAT. If you listen to her speak, she presents herself as a republican (at least you might think that).

One of the better parts of the interview is when the Senator asked Anderson if he had heard that the Congress was working on an bill to provide financial assistance to the victims of the hurricane, and Anderson responds,

I haven’t heard that, because for the last four days .. I’ve been seeing dead bodies in the streets here in Mississippi. To listen to politicians thanking each other … there are a lot of people here who are very upset … when they hear politicians thanking one another … literally there was a body on the streets of this town yesterday being eaten by rats because this woman has been lying in the streets for forty-eight hours … not enough facilities to take her up.

Senator Landrieu’s response? “I have the anger.”
