Grey skies

Posted on July 7, 2005March 3, 2019 by James

Today did not start off the way I expected.

It was not fun to wake up this morning to the news about the bombings in London. Naturally, like many others, I sat glued to CNN and MSNBC until they started to dwindle on the story lines (i.e. repeat themselves while they waited for something new to come across the wires).

Also, this morning I heard about a friend of mine in Australia who supposedly has been admitted to hospital, however after waiting on the phone for what seemed like an eternity (something you are more conscious of when it's international), the hospital said “nope, no-one here by that name.” It turns out I'm getting old news, and she may have already been discharged.

I'm just not ethused today. Maybe it has something to do with the grey skies and threat of rain.
