Roving Dinners

Posted on October 17, 2004March 3, 2019 by James

Well last night was a lot of fun.  We had just over thirty people wandering (at times aimlessly) around the west side of Frisco as we moved from Appetizer (thanks Kean) to Entree (thanks David and Ken) to Dessert (thanks Shaun and Craig).  Everyone did a great job in hosting, and in bringing a great selection of foods to be enjoyed.

Naturally I was late, as I left my Sams Card at home (somewhere) and as I'm walking into Sams (looking for my card) I realize this.  So back home I go, tear through a number of places looking for this damn thing.  I had a horrible thought that when I cleared out my wallet (in Arizona), that perhaps I put all my excess cards (Tom Thumb Rewards, Sams Club, etc) in one of the drawers.  All ended well, as I found it, and only ended up being forty-five minutes late to the appetizers.  Once there, everything was fine … well except for the directions, but that (sort of) worked out.

We did have a few people say they were coming that didn't turn up, which was a little disappointing, but I kind of figure it was there loss.  All up, it was a lot of fun, and there was discussion of a spring version being organized. One thing is for sure, I'll be bringing something, but not organizing it.
