The neighbors had their little girl today. I think Troy was still a little shocked.

Well this weekend seemed to fly by. Chris and I had a full day yesterday. Chris went to Operation Clean Sweep (a city organized clean up), and I went to the HOA social event. The HOA event was very well attended, and the board got some good feedback from homeowners that we were actually doing a good job - which was great to hear.

After that, we cleaned up the back yard - de-dogged it, trimmed and mowed the lawn and then started digging up the weeds in the front garden. I have a blister — it hurts!

Quiet night, ending up watching Unfaithful with Richard Gere and Diane Lane. It actually was a good movie. The “affair” (Oliver Martinez) was very cute. This is a good run on my $0.49 movies. So far I've enjoyed all of them!

Today we finished weeding the front garden beds, and then went off to buy some annuals and plants to make the house more attractive during the day. I hope that it will look good by the time we’ve finished. I was going to avoid doing the annual things, but the alternative (short-term) lacks color.

Had dinner with the neighbors and enjoyed the evening. Daria is getting huge… she is due within the next two weeks.

The semester is almost over — this is a good thing.

Took the dogs to the park today. Chris was still in Shreveport, so figured they needed to get out and run around some. I didn't sleep well last night, so I'm really dragging today. Perhaps I needed to get some more coffee or something into me.

Chatted today with Jonas, a new guy on the FriscoPride list. It was a nice chat. Found out all about him, and he seems a very sweet guy. I'm glad the list is growing, just need to keep the focus on Frisco. Coffee chats are going well on Friday Nights, and seem to have a good turnout.

Today I attended a Health Fair at the college. First time I've had my cholesterol tested - not good. I'm not a doom or gloomer but I have to say I felt pretty depressed by the news. My triglycerites are at 532 (way over) and my ratio is 6.7 (should be lower than 4.5). Need to exercise, and now I have a reason to do it. Blood pressure is high - 140/100, so another reason to get off my fat ass and do something about it.

On a better note, I resigned from the LRC position yesterday, though it probably wasn't read until today. I think it's a good decision, and I'm happier about it. Still concerned about getting income in… but things always work out it seems, so I'm going to cross my fingers.

SGA looks like it could be an interesting year. We are going to get a new advisor - Kathrine, so that should set us in the right direction.
