Yesterday as I was driving down the service road of Dallas North Tollway, I’m sitting behind this Lexus and watch the driver casually toss out about 1/3 of a lit cigarette onto the road. I was planning to tap my horn, and signal to the driver to pick this up. Instead, I picked up my trusty BlackBerry, and I reported the car (and the driver) to the Texas Department of Transportation’s Report a Litterer website.
From the website:
TxDOT compares the information to our vehicle registration database and when an exact match is located, we send the litterer a Don’t Mess with Texas litterbag along with a letter reminding them to keep their trash off of our roads.
And I did feel good about it

Don’t they grow up so quickly? It’s Bobby’s birthday today, and he just keeps looking the same. Why won’t he grow up?!?!
Happy Birthing Day Bobby!

This morning our house was rudely awakened by the tornado sirens wailing to advise that we were once again under a “tornado warning” and we should seek shelter immediately. It was about 4:01 AM. The danger passed by relatively quickly, but there is no alarm clock like a tornado siren. It is going to be one hell of a storm season.

After 18 months of unnecessary legal action taken by CCGLA, the motion for a new trial that was granted in February 2007 expired without any further action by CCGLA. This means the lawsuit has died. While the initial judgment made in favor of the Collin Equality Foundation would have extremely beneficial to our community, it was very pleasant to see that it had died the natural (legal) death in February 2008.
