West Wing's Last Season

January 23rd, 2006 § 0 comments

It seems that the decision has been made to call it quits on West Wing after this current season.  According to a report in USA Today, the show “will close this spring with President Bartlet (Martin Sheen) leaving and a new president — either Democrat Matt Santos (Jimmy Smits) or Republican Arnold Vinick (Alan Alda) — being sworn in.”

“It's the most dramatic way to end the series,” executive producer John Wells says. “The right way to do it is seeing (Bartlet) get on Air Force One and go back to New Hampshire and the new president coming into the Oval Office.”

I for one will be sad to see it go.
