I'm doing some research on different sites that use Mambo/Joomla, and found this one. From the site:
It is the goal of the OScar Project to develop a car according to Open Source principles. In our opinion, a car is not a vehicle full of high-tech gadgets. Instead, we are looking for a simple and functional concept to spread mobility. Form follows function.
Apart from that, OScar is not just a car. It is about new ways of mobility and the spreading of the Open Source idea in the real (physical) world. On this website, you will find a great community of developers and drivers who want to invent mobility anew and together.
The project started in 1999. In December 2005, it reached release 0.2. Starting in 2006, everyone is welcome to participate.

Earlier this week, I received an email from James Nunn. The subject of the email was “Feedback: our names” and I'm thinking to myself, hmmm… more viagra adverts (coming through my feedback tool on my website). I was surprised to open the email and find this:
Dear James,
Hi. This is a bit cheeky but I was wondering if you would do me a huge favour. could you put a link or a note on your site to my site? I am an illustrator and designer and lately I've had a lot of interest from the states and it crossed my mind that they'd have to guess what my web address was since I have only just started putting my url on the books I design. Predictably this happened after I did the book that many americans now own: Eats Shoots and Leaves.
If you don't want to or don't think it's appropriate then don't worry, really. You seem to have a lot on your plate right now anyway so I do wish you all the best with the lawsuit etc. whatever you decide you seem like a nice guy, which is always a bonus in a namesake!
At any rate I hope you enjoy the site www.jamesnunn.co.uk.
very best wishes
James
How cool. A namesake! So I did as I was asked, and there on my front page of my webpage is a link to “The Other James Nunn.” What makes this even more incredible is that I actually own that book, and it's been on my reading list for a few months now. Now I have more reason to read it, if only to admire the pictures!

I'm trying a newly discovered setting on Outlook to manage SPAM. We'll see how it goes.

My internet service was down … how frustrating. Now all my diary entries are posted at the same time… though I could change that if I wanted, but that involves energy

Another sleepness night. I think I need to find a nice quiet place and just burrow myself in and sleep. Still, found time to clean out a lot of email, and actually got around to deleting a couple of email accounts that just attract junk mail, so it hasn't been totally unproductive.

Well … I've just watched The Hours again on DVD and once again find myself wondering how Chicago beat this movie in the awards. Justice was lacking.
Yesterday, we went to Tim & Mike's Summer Blast party, and had a very enjoyable time. It's always nice to catch up with old friends, and make new ones. Some of the photo's Brian took are just too funny. When he mentioned blackmail, I didn't think he meant it
Jonas came to the party and had a good time (I think). He lacks self-confidence at times, and I think he finds it difficult to understand that people find him attractive … I keep telling him it's highly possible, and most likely and he shouldn't be shocked by this. He makes me laugh sometimes with his thinking on some things.
After the party, Chris decided to go out with Paul to the clubs, and me being such a fan of smoky bars decided to stay in. Jonas was over, so we talked a little about the day and the party. I actually enjoyed my evening with him so much, it was a perfect way to end the day.
Today was a good relaxing day. I worked with Brian at getting a mail server up and running, and it is. And the website is now resolving correctly, so two good achievements for the day.

Caught a new show on TechTV tonight – unscrewed, hosted by Martin Sargent. On tonight's show they talked about Elijah Wood on the Very, Very Gay site. Worth a look, but don't take it seriously. Got a nice link to StephTheGeek as well – a fellow LiveJournal user, and enjoyed reviewing her web page (some very kewl programming going on in that site).
Getting sleepy now, so going to bed.

Damn this Linux contraption. I've been trying to sort out my server for the last two days and finally I had to get an expert in to help me out (well, a good friend of mine). Hopefully this will be sorted out soon…
Chris is still away in Houston.
