From In The Pink Texas, we discover that Baylor University's Starbucks store has pulled the cups featuring Armistead Maupin's “The Way I See It” quotation. It appears that Maupin's reflection on being gay is too much for Baylor Starbucks.

Pink Dome has reported on a case where the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) has sued a political group to try and force them to comply with federal law. One interesting comment from the article is where its reported that “roughly $3 million came from just 14 donors” which seems to suggest that at least one of the donors exceed the $5,000 federal contribution limit.

Browsing around the net – as you do – I found Coffee Crew – Canada's Original Online Coffee Resource. It's all things coffee, canadian style (which means some words are spelt differently). What's good is that the site provides coffee maker manuals for those that may have been lost. Be sure to check out the latte art section in the photos. Oh, important to note is that this is a Mambo-driven site 🙂

Finally, over at No Nonsense in November, a blog entry reports,

“Members of the San Antonio Faith Community stood together on the steps of the Bexar County Courthouse this weekend to stand up for Texas families. The event brought together faith leaders from every denomination as well as supporters from the San Antonio community. The gathering was held on the steps of the County Courthouse – an appropriate spot since that is where marriage licenses are obtained.”

It's good to see some faith-based groups working against this amendment, as it goes way beyond being a religious argument – given the wording of the amendment focuses on denying all rights, not just marriage rights.
